Scotch is a type of whisky that undergoes the entire production process in Scotland under Scotland's rules and regulations. This whiskey must undergo distillation in Scotland's distillery firm comprised of two main components: malted barley and water. Its maturation must take place in casks made from oak for not less than three years. The final scotch product has to have a minimum of 80 proof.
