A person who perpetuates whiskey hype. They are typically new enthusiasts who "hear" that some whiskey or brand is excellent, they buy-in, overpay, and then regurgitate the hype without having a foundation of knowing what is good in the market. They contribute to the hype of products that may be undeserving of the level of hype received.
These enthusiasts also unwhittingly (sometimes on purpose if they are resellers) contribute to FOMO (fear of missing out) among other new enthusiasts. In fact, they may also buy a whiskey simply because it is trending or new. The result may be unrealistic and unwarranted prices for those hyped whiskeys.
