Whiskey

Whiskey is the main product of grain mash fermentation and successive distillation processes in stills. The distillate is then put in barrels for maturation over some years, depending on the type of whiskey. This unique spelling originated from Ireland and referred to spirits produced in the United States of America, Ireland, and other regions. The spelling gained popularity in America due to the influence of immigrants from Ireland.
