Nose
Warm, buttery, and inviting. The aroma opens with soft wheat grain and spiced honey, layered with creamy mixed-fruit preserves and a touch of cherry potpourri. With a little time in the glass, brighter lemon notes emerge alongside a subtle candy sweetness.
Palate
Full and flavorful. The classic spiced wheat character typical of wheated bourbons is beautifully balanced by a creamy texture and a honey-sweet backbone. The result is a rich, rounded sip with plenty of character.
Finish
The spice lingers pleasantly on the tongue, gradually giving way to a drying tobacco note. A hint of cherry quietly resurfaces, adding a final touch of sweetness as the finish fades.
Overall
This is my second experience with 1792 Sweet Wheat. The first bottle I bought about four years ago didn’t impress me at all. This batch, however, is a completely different story—rich, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to putting it side-by-side with some other wheated bourbons.
