Simply put, fantastic value.

Nose
The first aroma that jumps out is a rich berry compote, quickly followed by warm cinnamon spice. As it settles in the glass, it evolves into a soft cherry cola note, layered with dry oak and brown sugar. After a few sips, the nose opens up even more, leaning into a deeper brown sugar and baking spice profile.
Palate
The first sip is… BOOM.
The immediate standout is the oily mouthfeel. That rich viscosity is one of the qualities I always look for in a great whiskey, and this one delivers in a big way.
As it moves across the palate, spice builds through the mid-palate, but the sweetness holds its ground beautifully. You get sweet oak, black pepper, and mild cinnamon, creating a balance that makes you wonder how something can be this sweet and this spicy at the same time.
Taking a larger sip to coat the entire palate really showcases what this bourbon does best. It’s not overly complex, but it doesn’t need to be. What it does, it does exceptionally well.
Finish
The finish carries a moderate spice that lingers gently without overpowering. On the back end, a pleasant creamy brown sugar and caramel note emerges, leaving a satisfying final impression.
Final Thoughts

At around $49.99 MSRP, this might be one of the best shelfer bourbons at that price point.
Just took another sip… holy cow. This is an easy-buy-again bottle.
I was already a fan of Green River’s 90-proof wheated bourbon, but this one plays on a completely different level.
