88 Highly Rated Bourbon General Review of Ry3 16 Year Light Whiskey Cask Strength

Oh yeah, RY3 16-Year-Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Light Whiskey Limited Edition is a must-purchase for any whiskey lover who enjoys a nice dose of sweet heat.

RY3 16 Year Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Light Whiskey LE

Nose

The nose of RY3 16-Year-Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Light Whiskey features initially sweet honey butter pancakes. You know, the sweet pancakes with the crispy edges slightly burnt by the butter on the grill. The nose has minimal ethanol, even at 134.98 proof, as you would hope for a light whiskey. After the bottle has been open for a while, you can sense a spiced honeysuckle aroma.

Palate

The palate is wonderfully oily, hot, buttery, and sweet. It is a wonderfully hot and sweet dessert. Additionally, a lovely peppery nature once you get to the mid-palate and beyond, all the way through to the finish, balances out this sweetness. Light whiskeys tend to be inherently sweeter than bourbon and rye whiskeys, and RY3 16-Year-Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Light Whiskey is no exception. This is good! Very good!

Finish

That sweet, buttery heat lingers and lingers on the finish of  RY3 16-Year-Old Single Barrel Cask Strength Light Whiskey.

Smell IS taste. I am just a guy who has been hit with the bourbon bug and who has come to the conclusion that life is too short to drink average tasting bourbons. Go Gators!
